I believe in teaching all ages and all abilities the art of sewing and crafting in a friendly, inviting, hands-on atmosphere. It is my mission to inspire and share my passion and knowledge with each student from the very first "little stitch" and beyond!

I am so fortunate to come from a family of talented seamstresses, one of whom took me under her wing at the age of 8 or 9 (neither of us remembers exactly!) .  The sky was the limit as my aunt taught me to make my own clothing....everything from 80's style jams shorts to trendy stirrup pants and a red ruffled taffeta Christmas dress.  By the age of 13, I had made my first quilt and started working in a locally owned fabric store.  While I adored all of the women who patiently walked me through each and every project that I wanted to make, I always felt like a bit of a misfit being an awkward young teenager sewing and cross stitching with all of the ladies at the quilt shop.

When I dreamed up the idea of opening Little Stitches, I knew that I wanted it to be a place where young kids felt comfortable being themselves, having fun, learning something new while jamming to some Taylor Swift.  Where no fabric is too colorful and all projects can be customized.  Where we take risks together and learn from our mistakes.  Where kids gain confidence and skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

My professional education is in business and finance and after spending many years as a stay at home mom and a couple of years developing Little Stitches, I currently work full time as an Advisor with a local investment firm.  Throughout my career, I discovered a passion for teaching and inspiring people....whether it is starting up a business, teaching sewing to kids and adults, working as a Parapro at Jeffers Elementary, or educating my clients on the financial markets, I love learning new things, connecting with people and encouraging them to achieve their goals.
